Linda Silvas, MSN, FNP-BC
Linda Silvas is a Nurse Practitioner at Rio Grande Urology and Rio Grande Cancer Specialists, where she provides comprehensive care to patients with complex urologic and oncologic conditions. She is a key clinical provider within the Advanced Prostate Cancer Center, working closely with Dr. Spier and a multidisciplinary team to guide patients through diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
Linda’s journey with Rio Grande Urology reflects a deep commitment to patient care and professional growth. She first joined the practice in 2009 as a medical assistant while pursuing her nursing education. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating magna cum laude from the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. During her time as a registered nurse, she served for more than five years as a charge nurse in a busy medical-surgical unit, developing strong clinical leadership and acute care experience.
Motivated to expand her impact on patient care, Linda went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Arlington. She subsequently returned to Rio Grande Urology to continue serving the community she has been part of for many years.
Linda brings extensive experience in urologic care and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to every encounter. Her long-standing connection with the practice allows her to provide continuity of care while helping patients navigate complex treatment decisions, particularly in the management of advanced prostate cancer.
