Rio Grande Cancer Specialists (RGCS) provides state-of-the-art radiation therapy. The range of services and continuity of care offered through the RGCS makes us a unique asset in the west Texas and southwestern New Mexico areas. Rio Grande Cancer Specialists believe in a team approach to patient care. Through collaboration with our physicians, partnerships with community specialists and clinical staff, we engage with every member of the care team through their cancer journey.

The staff at RGCS is our most important asset. Since opening in 2009, we have had excellent results with our cancer patients and have continued to expand our services.

Our patients have access to onsite diagnostic CTs and lab services to ensure that Dr. Travis Mendel has all he needs for a comprehensive workup, diagnosis, and treatment plan.  The patient-centered treatment team consists of board-certified physicist, radiation therapists, physician assistant, dosimetrists, and support staff that all rally around our patients and their families to make your cancer journey successful.  Once you have entered our door, you ARE family.  Porque ustedes son familia.  Rio Grande Cancer Specialists are redefining how the cancer journey is experienced in our community, porque ustedes son familia.

RGU Radiation Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology. We accept all patients with doctor’s orders for any diagnostic CT or radiation services.
